Santa Reparata, founded in the sixth century, was the ancient cathedral of the city and houses the tomb of Filippo Brunelleschi, the brilliant architect of the dome of the Cathedral. After this first visit, lead by your expert Guide, you will enjoy the beauty of the splendid marble choir of Bandinelli, the complex of the precious stained-glass windows worked by Donatello, Ghiberti and Andrea del Castagno and the singular and mysterious clock by Paolo Uccello. You will be also surprised to be able to walk on a marvelous carpet of polychrome marbles. Then, looking up, the immense precious interior of the Dome entirely frescoed by Vasari will appear, the biggest fresco in the world. The Brunelleschi's famous Dome is the largest ever built in masonry and the incomparable icon of Renaissance architecture.
Then, you will have the chance to get to one of the exclusive terraces of the Cathedral, where to enjoy your first-row position on the magnificent scenery surrounding you, dominated by the amazing Brunelleschi’s Dome. From this breath-taking location, you will experience the incredible sensation of being able to “touch” part of the city center and admire the wonderful hills surrounding it. At the end of the guided tour, you can continue your visit on your own, directly from the north terrace, without any additional queue, using your ticket to climb even higher, up to the magnificent Dome, where you can enjoy a spectacular 360° view of Florence, from its highest location.

It is mandatory to arrive 30 minutes early at the meeting point because, before the visit, after receiving the entrance ticket, it is mandatory to deposit all the objects required by the Regulations and the following types of bags at the cloakroom (Piazza Duomo, 38/r):
Attention: baggage retrieval must take place at the end of the visit according to the scheduled time. In any case, the duration of the deposit cannot exceed the closing time of the cloakroom.
